Glad to hear this message by internet tonight, James...a fellow Southerner of yours from N.C. and Davidson College as well as Louisville, Bill Laws, of First UP in Columbus, Indiana, and General Assembly used to say the church is like an ongoing parade of witnesses..with folks dropping out of and dropping into the community... each making their own contributions and building the community as the body of witnesses to the faith as the parade moves on..links along the journey with Jesus toward God's love and knowledge of the love and responsibility which calls us forth.
