Students at East Franklin Elementary are happy to read their books to Emma Sledge, a senior at Upper Arlington High School. As part of her senior project, Sledge helped the students in the South-Western district school buy books at the school’s March Scholastic Book Fair. The students earned “paychecks” by meeting reading and writing goals. Sledge received a grant from her church, Boulevard Presbyterian in Grandview Heights, as well as donations from family and friends, to pay for the book project.
